SUNO celebrates Black History Month 2014
- 2/1/2014 -
During February, Southern University New Orleans is celebrating Black History Month with an array of events including lectures, dance, films, poetry, exhibits, musical performances, and dramatic presentations.
Organized by SUNO' Center for African and African-American Studies (CAAAS) in collaboration with several units on campus and the community, the celebration provides an opportunity to reflect on a crucial part of America's history, culture, and heritage. The national theme for Black History Month is "Civil Rights in America."
All the Black History Month programs are free and open to the public.
