SU Ag Center to host second summer cooking program for youth, July 23-27

The Southern University Ag Center will sponsor a youth cooking school
entitled, "Creating Healthy Enjoyable Foods" (C.H.E.F.), for 12-14 year olds, July 23-27, 2012.
The program will be held at Pinkie E. Thrift Hall, Southern University, Baton Rouge campus. Each session will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Participants will be required to bring a bag lunch and snack each day. To ensure the safety of our participants, only 16 youth will be accepted for the camp.
Youth attending will learn how to prepare healthy meals at low budget and share knowledge gained with family and friends to enhance healthy eating habits.
The registration fee for each session is $15 per student and covers all materials, food, and attire.
