SUNO School of Social Work Open House, June 13

Southern University, New Orleans and its School of Social Work Master's of Social Work Program will be hosting an open house on Wednesday, June 13, 2012.
The School of Social Work program has been one of SUNO's flagship academic programs for several years has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education since 1985. The school has nearly 2000 alumni who serve and work in various social work practice settings.
"This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in a career in social work to really get an understanding of the program we offer here at SUNO," said assistant professor Harry Doughty. "Social Work as a career can be very rewarding and transformative. That is of particular interest at times like these here in the New Orleans community. So we encourage everyone to come and see what we have to offer, learn about the application process, see our curriculum and listen to the experiences of those who have been through this process before."
The open house will conduct two sessions. The first will be held from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. and the second to follow from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Both sessions will be held in the SUNO gymnasium.
