Historic Army ROTC commissioning at SU basketball game, January 12

The Southern University Army ROTC program will be commissioning two
students at halftime of the men's basketball game against Arkansas Pine
Bluff at 4 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, in the F.G. Clark Activity Center.
Tristen Haskett and Stanley Bienemy, juniors in the ROTC program, will
take the oath to officially be a part of the Army ROTC program at
Southern and will be enroute to becoming officers in the United States
Army once they graduate.
This will be the first time students will be commissioned at a sporting event at Southern University Baton Rouge. Senior military instructor, Master Sgt. Ramon Martinez said the commissioning is an effort to reconnect Southern and the SU Army ROTC program.
