Former SU student-athlete awarded scholarship for graduate study - 7/23/2013 -

Former Southern University Baton Rouge women's tennis athlete Lois Alexis has been awarded the Southwestern Athletic Conference Frank-Norrell Scholarship for 2013, the conference office recently announced.

Alexis, who received her bachelor's degree Spring 2013, will continue her studies at SU as a graduate student in the University's Master in Business Administration degree program. She joins Alabama State's Lexis Pierre IV (men's tennis), Mississippi Valley State's Alexandria Robertson (softball), and Alabama A&M's Rolandrea Russell (soccer) as recipients of the scholarship named after former SWAC Commissioner James Frank and former Michigan State professor Gwen Norrell.
