The Camelot Scholarship Foundation of Baton Rouge
recently awarded scholarships to several Southern University Baton
Rouge students who are high academic achievers and in financial need.
Metro
Councilman Rodney "Smokie" Bourgeois presented the scholarships during
Camelot's most recent community fundraising gala. Camelot Board
President J.W. Vaughn met with the students to receive scholarships from
a $25,000 grant.
Scholarship recipients were recognized and
received their stipends on November 30, 2012, during a presentation in
W.W. Stewart Hall.
Students receiving scholarships included
Joshua Banks, Faith Lyn Barefield, LaJamie Ferguson, Leroy Hunter III,
Trevante' Johnson, Tonyea McCaleb, Tevin Moore, Tyrah Phillips, Carla
ReShea Reed, Ricky Robinson, Ernest Sip, and Freddie Darnisha Ward.
