SU's M-9 advances to second round for Naismith Student Section of the Year - Thursday, February 07, 2013

With 119,636 votes cast, Southern University's M-9 student cheering
section claimed 16th place to advance to the second round of voting in
the Naismith Student Section of the Year Award. Fans and supporters also
helped the popular cheering section place at the top among the SWAC
schools participating in the contest.

Clark Activity Center has been nominated as one of the top college
basketball student sections in the country and is asking for fans to
continue voting to help win the prestigious title.
The Naismith
Student Section of the Year Award, which is presented through a
partnership of The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), an affiliate of
IMG College, and the Atlanta Tipoff Club, administrators of the Naismith
Awards, is dedicated to celebrating fans that love college hoops and
provide support to their college basketball team with devotion and
passion.
By visiting www.facebook.com/ILoveCollegeHoops, Southern fans can vote once per day for the M-9 as the top student section in college basketball.
The
winning student section gets bragging rights, while the winning school
will receive $10,000 to be used in its general scholarship fund. Second
round voting runs through February 22, 2013. |
