Southern University to celebrate Founders' Day in March - Monday, March 04, 2013

Southern
University will celebrate its 133rd Founders' Day 2013, with a series
of activities. The special recognition of the University's history is
titled "Meeting Challenges, Building Alliances, Creating Opportunities."
The
SUBR celebration kicks off Thursday, March 7, with a Community Prayer
Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. in the Royal Cotillion Ballroom of the
Smith-Brown Memorial Union.
Southern
University Shreveport will celebrate Founders' Day, Tuesday, March 12,
2013 in the Jesse N. Stone Lecture Hall, at 10 a.m.
During the
SUSLA Founders' Day program, staff/faculty members having 10, 20, 30 and
40 years of service to the University also will be recognized. Further,
special guests will include retirees and former employees of the
University.
