CULTURAL
CONTEXT OF EDUCATION & HUMAN POTENTIAL SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP ( SIG) |
Vision
The Cultural Context of Education and Human Potential (CCEHP) SIG is envisioned to make the case for the necessity of including the context and voices of individuals in research and best practices. Moreover, it is also envisioned to demonstrate how the underutilization of the voices of different cultures has led to the underutilization of their potential.
This SIG, unlike many SIGs, cuts across cultural, disciplinary, research methodologies and geographic boundaries. Research and best practices that focus on the cultural aspects of individuals, learning about and valuing the interactions between different cultures and/or countries including a broad range of research methodologies and policy analysis are welcome. The CCEHP Special Interest Group is particularly interested in studies, acquiring knowledge about the coexistence of communities and/or best practices that include often underrepresented voices and cultural groups around the globe.
Creating new knowledge and engaging a wide range of scholars to include the context of others are the primary purposes of this SIG. Research that includes the cultural context and intercultural learning of groups is particularly desirable for this SIG
