Reaffirmation of accreditation calls for the SUS community to reflect on its accomplishments since the last SACS re-accreditation visit in 2000, to ensure alignment of university processes and structures for effective and efficient operation, and to develop a Quality Enhancement Plan – a forward-looking, practical, and focused action plan to enhance student learning outcomes. SUS is actively preparing for an exciting and challenging time through 20010 and 2011 when the SACS on-site review team is scheduled to visit. In the months ahead, there will be many opportunities for members of the SUS family to contribute to the reaffirmation of accreditation process by attending information sessions, serving on working committees, and analyzing evidence on student learning and program effectiveness.
