graduates from NCAA Leadership Institute
Southern
University's Compliance Officer/Senior Woman Administrator,
Deborah Paul, recently graduated from the NCAA Leadership
Institute for Ethnic Minority Females and was chosen
to facilitate at the 2007 NCAA National Leadership
Conference for Student-Athletes. Her editorial on
the minority hiring issue was featured in the NCAA
News July 16, 2007 issue.
The Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Males and Females (Institute) was designed to address the critical shortage of senior-level administrators of color in athletics administrative staff at NCAA member institutions and conference offices. The Institute prepares diverse leaders through a 12-month leadership training and skills development experience enhancing their job-related competencies in selected areas through completion of four professional development sessions, practical work and a week-long intensive workshop.
The Institute is led by a diverse group of recognized consultants and leaders in business, higher education and intercollegiate athletics.
