Southern University Homecoming Parade entry forms will be available Monday, July 2. The parade will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, October 6. Interested participants may obtain entry forms from the Southern Teacher and Parents Federal Credit Union, located at 728 Harding Boulevard or the Office of Student Programs located in suite 203 on the second floor of the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union on the campus of Southern University. The Southern University Alumni Federation will seek to galvanize and strengthen the Jaguar Nation during its National Alumni Conference July 11-15 in Memphis, Tenn. National Alumni Foundation President Domoine Rutledge explains this is a good time to mix business with pleasure while learning of the latest developments in the Southern University System. “At the conference this year, we will update you on progress at each Southern University Campus, hear powerful messages from successful members of the Alumni, and hopefully hear from national leaders who are making a difference in the global marketplace,” he said.

The 8th Annual Nancy Marshall Youth Softball Camp is scheduled July 12-14 on the campus of Southern University at Lady Jaguar softball field, 8 a.m. - noon each day.
The camp is open to girls ages 9 through 18. Players will be placed into groups according to age and softball experience. The focus of the camp is to facilitate and enhance basic softball skills. Players will be taught the basic techniques and fundamentals as it relates to softball. Each camper will be given a T-shirt and certificate.
The cost of the camp is $75 per person. Full payment must be submitted by July10 to ensure participation and a camp T-shirt. Upon completion of registration, each camper will be provided additional information. All campers should register early. Special team rates are available for 10 players or more at $55 per person.
