SUNO student receives scholarship, will attend leadership summit
April Farmer, a single mother of three who is majoring in criminal justice, was selected by the Executive Leadership Council of Washington, D.C., in conjunction with the United Negro College Fund, to receive a $5,000 scholarship and attend the Black Women's Leadership Summit in New York.
The Executive Leadership Council Black Women's Leadership Summit is a unique opportunity for black women to come together to network and meet major influencers and decision makers in New York City. The program will include the participation of industry leaders, college presidents, and corporate directors. Women who attended previous summits have found them to be a powerful networking opportunity as well as a terrific forum to be informed about the latest economic and financial developments.
