Southern University Shreveport will celebrate 40 years of academic and social excellence August 31 through September 19.

The events include:

Old School Dance – Friday, August 31, 2007, 7 p.m.; Health & Physical Education Complex.
Open House – Saturday, September 1, 2007 9 -11 a.m.; Martin Luther King campus - Metro Center - 610 Texas; Aerospace Center - Downtown Airport; Incumbent Workers Training Facility -1426 Hawn Ave; and Business Incubator - 400 Viking Dr., Bossier City.
Picnic – Saturday, September 1, 2007, 10 a.m. Southern University, Shreveport MLK Campus.
Call to Worship – Sunday, September 2, 2007, 10:45 a.m., Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church, 2842 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Banquet – Thursday, September 6, 2007, 7 p.m., Riverview Hall, 600 Clyde Fant Parkway.
SUSLA Founders’ Day – Wednesday, September 19, 2007, 10:30 a.m. Health & Physical Education Complex.
