Women's head coach nets 200th win in game with rival Grambling State
In her 300th game as a head coach, Sandy Pugh earned her 200th career victory by routing Southwestern Athletic Conference rival the Grambling State University Lady Tigers 75-46.
Southern (4-8, 2-1) also won their second straight game for the first time this season. Red-shirt senior Fredrieka Lewis enjoyed her best game of the year scoring 20 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, blocking four shots and stealing away two passes. This was her first double-double game since February 13, 2006 versus Mississippi Valley. In the game the Beaumont, Texas, native ended the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
