Cleveland quarterback commits to Southern

Southern University football fans will have to wait a year for Delon Mallory to play, but he says it will be worth the wait.

Mallory, a 6-foot-5, 195-pound quarterback from John F. Kennedy High in Cleveland, recently became the first commitment for Southern's recruiting class.

Mallory chose Southern over Purdue, Bowling Green, Kent State, Akron, Youngstown State, and Eastern Michigan.
