SUNO student wins Tom Joyner Scholarship

SUNO student Rayon Golding, a junior biology major from Montego Bay, Jamaica, has received a $2,500 "Brothers on the Move Scholarship" from The Tom Joyner Foundation. The announcement happened Thursday on the nationally syndicated "Tom Joyner Morning Show." The show airs locally on 98.5 WYLD from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Golding is actively involved with SUNO's First 50 Knights and plans to attend medical school upon graduating from SUNO. Candidates had to possess a minimum 3.0 GPA and a demonstrated commitment to community service.
