Kellogg Company makes contribution to Southern University System
Kellogg's
Corporate Citizenship Fund contributed $25,000 recently
to the Southern University System. The contribution
is earmarked for scholarships.
"We are always pleased when the business community supports the University, but we are especially pleased to have the support of a major corporation such as Kellogg Company," said System President Ralph Slaughter.
Celeste Clark, senior vice president, global nutrition and corporate affairs, and president of Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund, said of the contribution, "HBCUs are a critical link in the chain of educational opportunity for many talented and deserving young people."
Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund is the charitable arm of Kellogg Company. With 2006 sales of almost $11 billion, Kellogg Company (NYSE:K) is the world's leading producer of cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods. Kellogg contributed more than $37 million in cash and $116 million in products to various charitable organizations around the world over the last five years.
