Walk-in Your Shoes' drive draws college, school-aged participants

Southern University, Shreveport's Service Learning Program along with The Achievement Academy (Caddo Parish Schools) sponsored a community wide Shoe Drive. Donated shoes were cleaned, boxed and distributed to local shelter care programs at Providence House, Caddo Community Action, and the Salvation Army.

An estimated 200 local high school students from Booker T. Washington, Fair Park, Green Oaks, Bethune Middle, and Southern University, Shreveport student organizations participated in the program.
