Slaughter: Networking key to business success, growth
SU System President Ralph Slaughter urged members of the Baton Rouge Black Chamber of Commerce to put time and resources into networking as a catalyst for business and professional growth. Slaughter addressed the group in March at Drusilla Seafood in Baton Rouge and outlined recent fund raising efforts with prominent SU alumni like Dallas Mavericks head coach Avery Johnson.
Chamber president Eric Lewis also provided a preview of results from a minority business survey conducted by the SU College of Business.
The Baton Rouge Black Chamber of Commerce uses its core values to educate, unite, empower and mentor black business leaders and prepare them to compete in the Greater Baton Rouge business community.
