Southern announces Fall 2008 football schedule

The Southern University Jaguars will open their 2008 season in Houston in late August when they play the University of Houston squad, according to a release from the sports information office.

The home-opener comes on September 13, 2008 when the Jaguars play host to Mississippi Valley State University in A.W. Mumford Stadium.

The Jaguars will vie to retain Bayou Classic bragging rights when they take on the Grambling State Tigers on November 29, 2008 in the State Farm Bayou Classic in New Orleans.
