The 15th Annual SU Thanksgiving Food Drive concluded with the distribution of food the Tuesday before Thanksgiving in the Stewart Hall Auditorium.
The drive more than exceeded its goal of feeding 225. SU Football
Administrative Assistant Fernandez Griffin said, as of Monday afternoon, the
drive was to the point of being able to feed nearly 300.
"It's a blessing to see everybody chipping in to make this project work,"
Griffin said. "I canąt say enough about Community Volunteerism and all the
people involved."
Food was dropped off at the following locations: Top Choice Products (Harding
Boulevard), Chicken Shack (Pawtucket Street), Plank Road Cleaners, Campus
Federal Credit Union (Perkins Road), Southern Parents and Teachers Credit
Union, Community Volunteerism (in Harris Hall) and Southern Athletic
Department (in Jesse Owens Hall).
