Southern University celebrates International Education Week
Southern University, Baton Rouge celebrated International Education Week with several events designed to showcase the diverse cultures of students on the Baton Rouge campus.
The week started with an African and Indian Dance performance in the auditorium of W. W. Stewart Hall Monday, Nov. 12.
The Study Abroad Symposium entitled "Studying Abroad: Cross Cultural Experiences" was held in the Cotillion Ballroom of the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union Tuesday, Nov. 13. The movie "Yesterday" was shown in the Mocha Room later that day.
The International Taste Fair and Display was held in the Lakefront Room of the Student Union and the movie "Pride and Prejudice" was shown in the Mocha Room Wednesday, Nov. 14. The celebration concluded Saturday, Nov. 17 with "Noche Latina" (Latin Night) held at the Riverbend Bistro on Highland Road.
