Tickets on sale for 34th State Farm Bayou Classic

for the 34th State Farm Bayou Classic event are on
sale now. Dubbed the "Granddaddy" of African-American
collegiate sporting events and the "Superbowl" of
black college football, this year's Bayou Classic
will be held Saturday, November 24 at the Louisiana
Superdome.
"Southern University is proud to be a part of such a great event," said Southern University State Farm Bayou Classic Coordinator Cedric Upshaw. "The game is one of the best sporting events in the country and we are happy to once again return to New Orleans. We hope people will make the trip and show their support for the city while they continue to rebuild."
The Bayou Classic is more than a football game. The State Farm Bayou Classic® Fan Festival, the Super Job Fair, the State Farm Bayou Classic® College Fair and the McDonald's Battle of the Bands & Greek Step Show presented by Alltel are all fan-friendly events that will take place throughout the weekend.
Ticket prices for the State Farm Bayou Classic® range from
$25 - $46. Tickets can be
purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 800-488-5252
or online by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
Tickets are also available at the Southern University
and Grambling State University Box Offices.
All students and/or active military can buy $25 tickets for $20 by showing
I.D. (including student classes, groups, organizations K-12, university and technical colleges)
"Its War Time!" The McDonalds Battle of the Bands and Greek Show at the
Louisiana Superdome 7-10 p.m. Tickets $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
The House of Blues will host Southern University Alumni and supporters with R&B and Funk Band "Confunkshun" featuring
Michael Cooper. Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 at HOB.com and
ticketmaster.com. Hosted by SU Alumni Affairs and SU Shreveport "40th
anniversary celebration!"
The Job and Career Fair will be held at the Marriott on Canal. Students should bring resume' copies.
