CAC awards accreditation to SUBR's B.S. in computer science

Recently, SUBR was officially informed of Computing Accreditation Commission’s (CAC) action to award accreditation to its B.S. program in computer science.

“The department chair, the faculty, staff and students of the Department of Computer Science are to be commended for this achievement. This latest accreditation success simply contributes positively to SUBR's excellent program accreditation record,” said Margaret Ambrose, SUBR Interim Chancellor.

The Computing Accreditation Commission is a commission that functions under ABET, the organization that accredits engineering and technology programs.

The favorable action for this program was taken at CAC’s 2007 Summer Meeting. This is a newly accredited program and the accreditation action extends retroactively from October 1, 2005.
