Sustainable Ag Field Day scheduled October 27

The Southern University Ag Center will hold Sustainable Ag Field Day October 27 at A.O. Williams Hall. The event will include tours of the Red Stick Farmers Market, the LSU organic community garden, and other local growers.

Horticulturists, master gardeners, and Ag Center researchers will be on hand to answer questions from local producers and small-scale farmers on organic gardening, production systems, and establishing farmers markets. The field day will also include tours and demonstrations on pastured poultry, ornamental plants, seasonal vegetables, and hibiscus tea.
