Links Incorporated establish SUBR endowment fund

The Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated recently established the Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated Endowment Fund for Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge.

This endowment fund is one among a number of funds established by the Links for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The initial gift is in the amount of $5,400. The income or interest will be used to provide scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled at SUBR. Disbursements for student scholarships shall be authorized when the Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated. Endowment Fund reaches $10,000 or endowment maturity as established by the institution. Criteria for awarding these scholarships will be established by the institution.

“SUBR is most appreciative of this positive gesture by the Links to contribute to the education of those students who attend HBCUs in general and SUBR in particular,” said Interim Chancellor Margaret S. Ambrose.
