Outreach Recruiter Classic-Advisor

EMPLOYMENT DATES: AUGUST 01, 2023 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2024

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (extended day as travel dictates with time-adjustment)

Job Description:

The Outreach Recruiter Advisor will conduct monthly workshops/visits (in-person/virtual) in target-area schools; travel by personal auto to surrounding parishes/schools; lead the collaboration in developing media presentations for web-based and social platforms. advocate/ facilitate college-going, career readiness, and academic persistence; collect and assess student application/documents and school data to determine eligibility and academic needs; maintain electronic and folder files on assigned number of participants; assist director and project coordinator in statistical data; assist with (in-person/virtual) college tours/field trips in and out of state; and assist direct and project coordinators to maintain viable rapport with target school personnel, students, and parents.

Minimal Qualifications:

The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree, Master degree preferred; prior experience directly related to secondary or freshman youth or professional with TRIO programs; and experiences/knowledge in managing technology learning and social media platforms; awareness of and sensitive to the needs of first-generation and low-income youth, and the ability to relate to rural and urban youth; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and great skills in teamwork. Reliable personal automobile transportation is necessary for weekly travels.
