The Southern
University System is expanding its reach with “Inside
the Southern University System” radio show. The show
will link students, alumni, and the community to the University
System by focusing on current and upcoming activities, milestones,
achievements, and other topics of interest.
The
new radio show will originate from the studios of Citadel
Broadcasting on AM 1300 WIBR every Saturday morning at 8
a.m.
System
President Ralph Slaughter welcomes the new development and
feels that it will be another valuable aid in the System’s
progress. “Communication strategies are essential
for keeping faculty, staff, alumni, and students engaged
in the current initiatives of the University,” Slaughter
said. “Mediums such as the radio show, the upcoming
television show, and the Southern University System Magazine
are just a few ways that we plan to keep you connected and
informed.”
