Comptroller
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Comptroller is responsible to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Financial Operations for directing and coordinating the accounting, bursar, payroll, accounts payable, financial control and operational auditing functions for Southern University and A&M College. They will maintain fiscal accountability for all agencies of Southern University and A&M College, including oversight and coordination of financial administration and financial control for Southern University and A&M College. The Comptroller must stay abreast of changes in the areas of accounting and reporting that affect the University and provide management with recommended policy and procedure modifications based on documented effectiveness evaluations.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting with a minimum of ten years of experience in Government Accounting
Five years supervisory experience, and effective time management and communication skills.
