Chairperson-Graduate Nursing Programs

Job Description:

Provide overall leadership, direction, and management of the MSN, DNP, and PhD programs. Expected to direct continued development of the graduate nursing programs based on national accreditation standards and state board of nursing regulatory requirements. Responsible for delivery of quality education and program evaluation. Works collaboratively with the Dean in maintaining budgets, personnel actions, and supervision of faculty. Demonstrates a commitment for creating a caring student centered, teaching/learning environment. Expected to be an exemplary leader in scholarship, service, and teaching.

Minimal Qualifications:

Minimal rank at the level of Associate Professor, holds a terminal degree (Doctorate) in nursing, APRN licensure preferred. Minimum of three years’ experience in a nursing education administrative role at the level of Associate Professor. Possess a current unencumbered Louisiana license. Possess excellent communication and collaborative skills.
