SUBR | Project Coordinator (Empower: TRIO Upward Bound) | Position: Full-Time Unclassified | Salary: $49,000 - $52,000 | Application Deadline: November 24, 2025

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The project coordinator will assist with the recruitment of participants interested in all disciplines and provide appropriate academic advisement to an assigned caseload of secondary school participants. Additionally, the coordinator will assist in developing non-cognitive skills and occasionally offer academic instruction. The project coordinator will offer tutorial support and provide college prep activities, financial literacy information, Financial Aid guidance, career advisement, etc.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

 

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred in education, counseling, social work, higher education administration, or an appropriate field related to project objectives.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience assisting with staff supervision, budget management, program development and evaluation, reporting, and compliance with federal
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with federal TRIO, academic support, or similar STEM programs for disadvantaged low-income 9th-12th grade students who are potential first-generation college students.
  • Experience providing academic advising, academic instruction, tutoring, non-cognitive skills, college, financial aid, and economic literacy information to an assigned caseload of secondary school students.
  • Professional or personal experience in overcoming barriers similar to those confronting UBMS eligible students.
