SUBR | Financial Aid Reconciliation Coordinator

SUBR | Financial Aid Reconciliation Coordinator | Position: Full-Time | Salary: $51,419 | Application Deadline: February 25, 2026

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Financial Aid Reconciliation Coordinator is required to have specialized knowledge of federal financial aid regulations and complex reconciliation processes that extend beyond standard accounting functions. The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison between the Office of Student Financial Aid and the University’s Business Office to ensure compliance with U.S. Department of Education (ED) regulation 34 CFR 668.166. At a minimum, a school should reconcile its FSA financial records monthly and should do so on a more frequent basis during periods of high transaction volume. Some FSA programs require monthly reconciliations, such as the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Federal Work-Study, and Federal Perkins Program. However, the more frequently your school performs reconciliation, the more likely you will be able to identify issues and resolve them before they become part of a bigger problem. Frequent reconciliation is an important internal control procedure that can make a significant contribution to increasing the overall program integrity of the FSA programs at your school.
