SUBR | Executive Director (Educational Talent Search) | Position: Full-Time Unclassified | Salary: $82,000 | Application Deadline: March 27, 2026

 

Job Description:

The Executive Director is an administrator position that provides overall supervision of all Educational Talent Search programs staff (Classic and Excel) and facilitates the day-to-day operations of the federal pre-college preparatory programs serving approximately 1500 middle/high school students in an eighteen (18) parish target area of Louisiana.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall administrative leadership to the Talent Search project.
  • Supervise and coordinate all staff activities
  • Complete necessary writing, research, and proposal submission to secure grant funding and viability.
  • Manage budget
  • Establish rapport and manage public relations in target areas/university community

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned a Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrates a record of excellence in teaching, student learning, scholarship/research, and service.
  • Professional experience in TRIO, low-income youth, or similar programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned a Doctoral Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Education, or another related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Demonstrates a record of excellence in teaching, student learning, scholarship/research, and service.
  • Professional experience in TRIO, low-income youth, or similar programs
