Assistant or Associate Professor in Counseling
THERE ARE TWO ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (COUNSELING) POSITIONS VACANT.
The Department of Counseling seeks a full-time tenured or tenured-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Counseling. The individual will teach graduate courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, publish scholarly works, participate in school, university and community partnerships, direct graduate student departmental projects, possess strong potential for or a proven track record in attracting external funding, and assist with administrative duties as assigned by the program.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to research/scholarship, teaching, supervision, and professional development.
Candidates for this position should have the following: a) an earned doctorate in Counselor Education or related area from a CACREP-accredited doctoral program; b) licensed or license-eligible as a professional counselor in the state of Louisiana; and c) a minimum of two years of full-time employment as a faculty member in a Counselor Education program.
