Chairperson, Graduate Nursing Programs
Job Description:
Provide overall leadership, direction, and management of the MSN, DNP, and PhD programs. Expected to direct continued development of the programs based on national accreditation standards and state board of nursing requirements. Responsible for delivery of quality education. Responsible for working collaboratively with the Dean in preparing budgets, supervises faculty and personnel actions to ensure that students receive the guidance and counselling required to maximize their growth and development. Teaches 3-6 credit hours as required by the Dean. Expected to be an exemplary leader in scholarship, service, and teaching.
Minimal Qualifications:
Minimal rank at the level of Associate Professor, holds a terminal degree in nursing, APRN licensure preferred. Minimum of five years teaching experience at the level of associate professor, and a current unencumbered license, with national certification in the field. Prior administrative experience in academia preferred; and excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
