Job Description:

Responsibilities include monitoring Honors College students’ eligibility for membership.

 Monitoring Honors College students’ graduation status

Assisting with recruitment

Advising/counseling Honors College students and helping with their class scheduling


Assisting with Freshman Orientation, seminars, workshops and other co-curricular activities with the Honors College

Organizing and maintaining student records

Teaching Honors Colloquium to Honors College students (up to five, one credit hour classes per semester)

Preparing syllabi for Honors Colloquium classes

Other co-curricular activities with the Honors College


Minimal Qualifications:

A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Preferred degree areas include Business, Basic Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Social Science; however, all fields of expertise will be considered.

A minimum of two years teaching, advising, or counseling experience at the university level is preferred.

Successful applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

Have excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and professional communication skills.

Proficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft applications, is necessary.
