Mental Health Therapist II

Job Description:

This individual supports the professional operations of the UCC adherence to the standards of the International Accreditation of Counseling Services, (IACS) which is its accrediting body, as well as professional and State regulations guiding the various professional disciplines of the staff; licensed mental health counselors, social workers, and other related fields. S/he is responsible for providing individual counseling/therapy, Intake evaluations, crisis interventions, referrals to our psychiatrist, and Outreach and Consultation to the SUBR community. This individual must be able to work closely with a diverse group of professionals working with a diverse student-body of undergraduates and pre-professional (aspiring law students) seeking "confidential" behavioral health, and personal counseling/therapy.

Minimal Qualifications:

At least three years in a clinical setting providing evidence-based counseling/therapy to adolescents and young adults, and established professionals. A clinical internship or other related training which emphasized a psycho/bio/social/developmental framework of assisting individuals with behavioral, and mental health disorder. Familiarity with electronic record-keeping/scheduling program for counseling use helpful.   An obtained master's degree in clinical mental health counseling, counseling, or social work. Demonstrated, successful movement towards appropriate licensure.
