Research Associate of Aquaculture

Job description:

The position is a 12-month Research Associate of Aquaculture. The successful applicant will report to the Research Assistant Professor of Aquaculture. The duties include assisting the Research Associate Professor of Aquaculture Program in (1) the day to day routine of the aquaculture program, (2) assisting with the planning, developing, and implementing SU Ag Center Aquaculture Program with a research, extension, and production components, (3) assisting with conducting research and outreach activities primarily focusing on the major Louisiana Aquaculture commodities targeted for small-scale stakeholders with a focus on aquaponics, crawfish, and catfish, (3) assisting in conducing other aquaculture research, extension, and integrated activities, and  (4) performing related duties as assigned.

Minimal Qualifications:

Required: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in aquaculture, marine biology or related fields is required. A combination of education and experiences (equaling to five years) as it relates to the duties above is acceptable.
