Alejandro Raeshod Perkins

ALEJANDRO “AL” PERKINS, a Dallas, Texas native, is the managing partner at Hammonds, Sills, Adkins, Guice, Noah & Perkins. He practices in the areas of Complex Litigation, Education Law, Governmental Affairs, and Insurance Defense. Al earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Xavier University of Louisiana in 1999. This achievement laid the foundation for his legal aspirations, which he pursued at the Southern University Law Center, earning his Juris Doctorate in 2004. Al was also awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters from Grambling State University for his leadership and service to higher education, in 2019. He currently serves on the Board of Supervisors for the University of Louisiana (UL) System. Beyond his legal practice, he has served as an adjunct professor at the Southern University Law Center and has spoken on multiple panels across the nation. He has been an active member of numerous legal societies, serving as the National Bar Association's Deputy General Counsel and President of the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society - Greater Baton Rouge Chapter and has served on multiple non-profit boards.
