SUNO to hold ribbon cutting for Student & Faculty Housing

Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) will hold a ribbon cutting for its Student and Faculty Housing complex on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 from 11 a.m. to noon.

The event will be held in the Student Activities Center of the Student and Faculty Housing Complex at 7000 Press Drive.

The event is free and open to the public.

SUNO has received confirmation that U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu will be in attendance.

The Student and Faculty Housing Complex is the first residential facility in SUNO's 50-plus year history. Students began moving into their units on January 4th.

The apartment-style complex is located on the University's Lake Campus between the temporary trailer site and the levee on Lake Pontchartrain.

In its first phase of completion, the complex's final phase of completion is expected in August of 2010.
