SU Jaguars win SWAC football title

The Southern University Jaguar football team, led by senior quarterback Dray Joseph, won the Toyota Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship Game Saturday, December 7, 2013, 34-27 over the Jackson State Tigers, in Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.

The win gave Southern (9-4) its 18th SWAC title and first conference crown since 2003 while Jackson State (8-4) suffered its second-straight overtime SCG loss.
