The Southern University System  — Southern University Baton Rouge (SUBR), Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO), Southern University Shreveport, (SUSLA), Southern University Law Center (SULC), and Southern University Research Center and Agricultural Center (SUAREC) —  continues to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic. As of April 3, there have been 22 positive cases reported:

Southern University Baton Rouge: 6 faculty/staff, 1 student

Southern University at New Orleans: 12 faculty/staff

Southern University Shreveport: 5 faculty/staff

Campuses will continue to update positive cases — adhering to state and federal privacy laws — to people who have been directly exposed, via campus-wide communications and also at www.sus.edu/coronavirus.

Confirmed results are based on information provided by individuals or a public health agency to appropriate Southern University campus officials. Go to the Louisiana Department of Health COVID-19 page to view updated test results by parish and statewide.
