Research Associate-Enologist

Job Description:

Perform experimental work in the area of enology and viticulture.

Participate and oversee the entire production process of creating new wines, including grape harvesting, crushing, fermentation, aging, blending, and bottling.

Combine scientific concepts with practical experience to alter a wine's chemical composition and make key decisions

Conduct scientific data recording, statistical analysis, evaluation, and preparation of reports, extension publications, and other professional outlets.

Perform other research and extension work duties as required.

Minimal Qualifications:

 The ideal candidate must possess an earned B.S. degree in Horticulture with specific emphasis in pomology/enology with 2-3 years' experience in wine production or a Master's degree in fermentation/brewing and at least 1-2 years of practical experience in winemaking, and viticulture.
