Postdoc/Visiting Scholar
Job Description:
The high-performance computing group at Department of Computer Science is recruiting a postdoc/visiting scholar who is doing computational and/or experimental material design and experiment validation research starting on July 1, 2025 for two years and possibly extendable to at third year depending on the quality and experience of his/her research work. This position is currently supported by DoD. The candidate will perform high performance computer simulation and/or experiments on designing novel high temperature and pressure materials. The LONI supercomputers will be intensively used to perform ab jnitio MD, machine learning interatomic potentials building, and materials property prediction. A Ph.D in computational/experimental material, chemistry or related field of study is required. Experience in analysis and visualization of large datasets, proficiency in FORTRAN, C and/or C++, Python, familiarity with MPI-based parallel programming, and/or mechanical alloying synthesis, X-ray data analysis are desirables. The candidate who has high pressure background will be considered first.

Qualifications:
