SUBR | Coordinator of Student Leadership and Engagement | Position Type: Full-time | Salary: $32,500-$40,000 | Application Deadline: December 31, 2025
Job Description: The Coordinator of Student Leadership and Engagement will primarily oversee all community service engagement, designated areas of the Student Government Association, and office programming. This position will also manage special projects for OSLE and work on cross-divisional collaborations.
Education and Experience Required:

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage SU Volunteers, the university's student-based service program, coordinating service opportunities for individual students and campus organizations

- Serve as the primary advisor to specified areas of the Student Government Association, managing coordination of events, initiatives, and service projects;
- Manage and track service hours for all participating students and organizations.
- Forge partnerships with community organizations to create service opportunities for students to engage.
- Coordinate the Days of Service program to include cluster service projects each semester.
- Develop monthly special projects for the office to include but not limited to Black
- History Month, International Women's Month, summer programs, and themed events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Oversight and training of students in the areas of event planning, organizational development, contract negotiation/oversight, and budget development, and ensure their knowledge of university policies and procedures. This includes connecting with key university partners that affect student organizations;
- Oversee all aspects of Student Engagement Software, the student programming, including training, transition, and assessment;
- Effectively lead, motivate, supervise and evaluate student staff;
- Supervise student workers including handling daily tasks, scheduling hours, coordinating coverage of special events, and completing timesheets;

- Manage the approval and posting of marketing materials on bulletin boards and building display locations, including the review of materials, removal of outdated or no longer pertinent to the campus community in accordance with the Student Engagement posting policy and removal of any notices displayed improperly;
- Assist in budget management including tracking of expenses and gift card forms, and creating reimbursements for students;
Other Responsibilities:
- Assists in the interpretation and enforcement of University policies and procedures related to student organizations and campus programs;

- Responsible for support, attendance and participation in Student Engagement & Leadership meetings and programs, and representation on various committees or at special events, including those on evenings and weekends;
- Act as a student advocate, providing guidance and appropriate referrals to students seeking assistance.
- Participates fully in Student Affairs and Student Engagement & Leadership functions, meetings, and programs;
- Responsible for other duties as assigned.
