SU staff elected officers of Banner group

Jesse Smith, director, SU System Office of Information Technology Resource Management, was elected vice president of the Louisiana Banner Users Group (LABUG), during the organization’s recent meeting in Lake Charles.

Also, Karen Thomas, chief disbursement office, Comptroller’s Office, Southern University, Baton Rouge, was appointed treasurer for the group.

More than 200 participants from higher education institutions from around the state gathered for the initial LABUG organizational meeting where officers for the group were elected.
