SU players earn all-star honors

Senior wide receiver Juamorris Stewart and junior safety, Jason House, have been named 1st team Black College Football All-Americans by Boxtorow.com/BASN.
Stewart, a senior Baton Rouge, was also named to the All-SWAC first team for the second consecutive season. Stewart was Lee's favorite receiver with 81 catches for 1,028 yards and 11 touchdowns.
House, a junior from Laurel, Miss., led the SWAC and NCAA (FCS) with 10 interceptions and 230 yards in returns. The wide receiver turned defensive back, had one return for a touchdown. The team is comprised of 27 of the top Black College Football players in the country.
Stewart also named to the 2009 AFCA Football Championship Subdivision Coaches' All-America First Team announced recently by the American Football Coaches Association.
Stewart wrapped up one fo the most successful stints in the history of Southern University football. He finished his career as SU's All-Time leading pass catcher with 201 career receptions. He also had 2,668 career receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.
In the 2009 season alone, Stewart led the SWAC with 81 catches for 1,028 yards and 11 touchdowns.
