Southern library gets good reviews

A new coffee and sandwich lounge, along with new study areas and computer kiosks, are part of a plan to renovate John B. Cade Library one floor at a time, said Libraries Dean Emma Perry.

Southern University pre-nursing student Delphine King goes to the library's new "student center" and Java City almost every day to study.

"This is the most like the coffeehouse experience I really enjoy," said King, who moved to Baton Rouge from Berkeley, Calif. "It feels kind of homey."
