SU honors alumnus

SU alumnus Brig. Gen.Craig C. Crenshaw was honored at Southern University, Baton Rouge on Monday, February 7.

Crenshaw, a 1984 graduate, was recoginzed as the tenth Southern graduate who have earned the rank of general in the U.S. military.

The first SU graduate to become a general in the U.S. Marine Corps, Crenshaw commands more than 3,600 marines 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, in Okinawa, Japan

During his visit, that was part of the University's Black History Month celebration, he spoke to an assembly in H.D. Lawless Auditorium in W.W. Stewart Hall.
